QuoteChad Pergram @ChadPergram · 1m At impeachment hrng, Stanford law professor Pamela Karlan notes the Constitution bars titles of nobility and that the Founders wanted to avoid the absolute rights of monarchs: "While the President can name his son Barron, he can't make him a baron." This drew applause
Just the kind of schoolyard cheap shot that doubles the average leftist over in peals of laughter.
Hopefully the rest of the American public will see it as a very lame attempt at humor....
To be quite frank.... I am surprised that we aren't seeing some of these Majority Members turn to salt with their constant, insincere invocations of the Founders and the Constitution....
IMO: Minority Members are doing a good job of probbing the 3 Majority witnesses to point out strong bias.... bouncing ideas off of Turley, and using the rest of their time to condemn the proceedings in general.... making the best of a crappy situation....
ETA: another 5 minute break.... just dragging it out....
In one fell swoop, Rep. Gaetz just disemboweled and exposed for all to see the longheld anti-Trump bias of the entire MSNBC-contributing panel of constitutional “experts” on impeachment invited by Nadler and Dems. Their witnesses left stunned, effectively impeached themselves.
Karlan’s cheap shot invoking Baron Trump’s name just lost them any shred of hope that they’re going to win this impeachment battle in the court of public opinion.
