When the Roman Empire was in decline, it had difficulty maintaining its borders from the barbarian hordes. True, they weren’t all pillaging, many were migrating to escape other barbarians, but the Romans weren’t able to repel or withstand the influx. The Romans ended up having many of these barbarians serve in the Roman Legions as mercenaries in exchange for citizenship. If it sounds a little familiar, it should, as some in Congress have been floating the idea of exchanging citizenship for military service for illegal aliens.

The United States of America is following a similar pattern; however, we are not experiencing an organic decline as the Romans did for various reasons. Instead, immigration and illegal immigration are one of many pieces of the puzzle in what is the deliberate destruction of the United States. The 1965 Immigration Act opened the doors to America and began a process of transformation. This ended what was basically a 50 year moratorium on immigration. This policy change coincided with an unofficial policy change of deliberately not securing the borders. On the surface, it gave corporatist Republicans cheap voters and Democrats a perpetual flow of an underclass vote. On a deeper level, this fueled a long term Marxist agenda to overthrow the United States as part of the Globalist agenda for World Government.

The United States Supreme Court is obviously held captive. The Supreme Court’s recent ruling compelling Texas to allow U.S. border patrol agents to cut barb wire along the Texas Mexico border, is a treacherous act contrary to the United States Constitution and the continued existence of the country.

There is a simple Constitutional remedy called Nullification. The founding fathers believed in such a remedy as evidenced by the Virginia and Kentucky resolutions. An even more compelling example was when the State of Wisconsin nullified the United States Supreme Court decision. The state of Wisconsin passed a law and refused to return fugitive freed slaves back to their owners.

Governor Abbot should immediately call a special emergency session of the Texas legislature for the purpose of passing legislation nullifying the Supreme Court’s decision. The state of Texas has a basic right to protect its border from a foreign invasion. There is absolutely no justification for the existence of the federal government if it refuses to protect the border and repel a foreign invasion.

Utterly ridiculous, the military can be dispersed throughout Washington DC, yet can’t protect the border?

While they are at it, the Texas legislature should nullify the federal income tax for Texans, since the Federal Government has breached its contract and violated the terms of the compact called the United States Constitution, which created the United States. I digress…again…

(DiscernTV)—Hyperbole has never been my style. I balk every four years when I hear how THIS presidential election is the most important of our lifetime. Passionate political commentators have said that about every election since Bush-Dukakis.

I cringe when I hear about this or that being the most important battle in generations… except for now since I’m the one saying it. The battle between Texas and the United States government, between Governor Greg Abbott and Joe Biden, really is the most important political battle in ages. It’s not just our sovereignty at stake with a border invasion in progress. That alone is huge. It’s also the constitutional debate over state’s rights. It’s also the incessant question about judicial supremacy.

For a quick recap of what led to this, Texas started putting up defensive measures to seal off parts of the southern border. This included razor wire, which has been proven to be a great deterrent except when Customs and Border Protection agents step in to help the invaders. The Supreme Court, thanks to an unexpected (for some) leftist stance by Justice Amy Coney Barrett, ruled that the federal government could cut the wires.

DC, on cue, started cutting. So Abbott started putting up even more razor wire.

The Biden-Harris regime made threats. Governor Abbott released a defiant and important statement:

The federal government has broken the compact between the United States and the States. The Executive Branch of the United States has a constitutional duty to enforce federal laws protecting States, including immigration laws on the books right now. President Biden has refused to enforce those laws and has even violated them. The result is that he has smashed records for illegal immigration.

Despite having been put on notice in a series of letters—one of which I delivered to him by hand—President Biden has ignored Texas’s demand that he perform his constitutional duties.

President Biden has violated his oath to faithfully execute immigration laws enacted by Congress. Instead of prosecuting immigrants for the federal crime of illegal entry, President Biden has sent his lawyers into federal courts to sue Texas for taking action to secure the border.
President Biden has instructed his agencies to ignore federal statutes that mandate the detention of illegal immigrants. The effect is to illegally allow their en masse parole into the United States.
By wasting taxpayer dollars to tear open Texas’s border security infrastructure, President Biden has enticed illegal immigrants away from the 28 legal entry points along this State’s southern border—bridges where nobody drowns—and into the dangerous waters of the Rio Grande.

Under President Biden’s lawless border policies, more than 6 million illegal immigrants have crossed our southern border in just 3 years. That is more than the population of 33 different States in this country. This illegal refusal to protect the States has inflicted unprecedented harm on the People all across the United States.

James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, and the other visionaries who wrote the U.S. Constitution foresaw that States should not be left to the mercy of a lawless president who does nothing to stop external threats like-- excerpt, rest at link above --

We have an evil "enemy from within" inside the White House with President Joe Biden (and his boss, Barack Obama). And they can see their reign of terror is ending. They're desperate to hold onto power, but they see it slipping away.

They have two choices now:

Either try to win the election by rigging and cheating at unimaginable levels – far worse than in 2020.

I predicted exactly how Democrats would intentionally destroy America.

Hillary Clinton would be the third term of Obama. She (and her boss, Obama) would finish the job Obama started by opening the southern border and inviting the entire world in. Tens of millions of foreign invaders would be waved into our country – many of them criminals; many of them terrorists; many of them military-age males sent by our enemies like China; many of them carrying disease; all of them collectively requiring trillions of dollars of money printing and debt to pay for their cradle-to-grave welfare, food stamps, free health care and the massive costs of police, courts and prisons from the crime wave they'd bring.

Then I finished up my speech by warning, if Clinton and her boss, Obama, got their chance to "fundamentally change" the demographics of America with this evil open-borders plan, there would NEVER be another Republican president. The Democrat Voter Fraud Machine would register these tens of millions of illegal aliens to vote Democrat.

I warned that electing Trump was our last chance to elect a Republican in our nation's history.

Trump won that 2016 election – as I predicted. As a matter of fact, I made the biggest bet of my life on Trump to win and made a small fortune. Because of Trump's upset victory, there was no Hillary Clinton, and no third term of Obama.

Trump turned the nation around and made the border secure, and created prosperity and jobs and peace around the world. He made America great again. He was the greatest president of my lifetime – surpassing even Ronald Reagan.

But then dirty, desperate-for-power Democrats created a new plan. They rigged and stole the 2020 election with millions of fake mail-in ballots. Now they had their third term of Obama – delayed by four years. Next, they put into play the exact plan I warned about and predicted in 2016: They opened the borders and invited the whole world in.

Now comes the most dangerous moment in history.

There are 12 months from today through Inauguration Day on Jan. 20, 2025. No matter what else Democrats do to try to maintain power, no matter what evil plans they put into play, no matter if Trump wins again – Democrats know one thing:

They have 12 months to accelerate this intentional destruction of America through this mass foreign invasion.

So, heed my warning: "You ain't seen nothing yet." Ten million illegals have already come in. Those are just the ones that got caught. Another 10 million were "got aways." That's 20 million in three years.

That's a foreign army inside our country.

But now Biden and his boss, Obama, have 12 months to "make it rain" like never before. They will accelerate the plan. This is their window. Twenty million illegals in three years will look small compared to what Democrats will do in the next 12 months.

They will wave in 20 million illegal aliens, or 30 million, in only a 12-month period. What you're about to see at our southern border is unimaginable chaos, crisis and catastrophe. This is how they steal the upcoming election, or if they lose to Trump, this is their "parting gift." Their middle finger to Trump and America.

They want to fill America with so many illegal aliens, criminals, Hamas terrorists, MS-13 gangbangers, welfare addicts and military-age males from China that even Trump can't turn it around. He inherits a failing country on the verge of collapse and civil war.

The next 12 months is their window.

That's why Texas is so important. At this moment in time, Texas holds the future of America in its hands. Biden (and his boss, Obama) will do anything to stop Texas. Can Texas stand up to the president, the federal government and the Supreme Court? Can they show red Republican states how to block the foreign invasion? Can they keep America safe until the cavalry (Trump) rides in? Our future rides on Texas. Will they stand strong, or will they fold?

Senate negotiators have agreed to empower the US to significantly restrict illegal migrant crossings at the southern border, according to sources familiar with the matter, a move aimed at ending the migrant surge that has overrun federal authorities over the past several months.

The Senate deal, which is expected to be unveiled as soon as next week, would also speed up the asylum process to consider cases within six months – compared with the current system, under which it could take up to 10 years for asylum seekers.

The details provide a new window into high-profile negotiations that have been going on for months – as Senate leaders hold out hope they can attach the deal to aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan as domestic and international crises loom. The plan would also put pressure on Republicans to decide whether to greenlight these new authorities or reject the plan as former President Donald Trump has urged the GOP to defeat anything short of what he calls a “perfect” bill.

President Joe Biden, in a rare statement on ongoing congressional negotiations, said the deal that Senate negotiators have worked toward is both tough and fair.

“What’s been negotiated would – if passed into law – be the toughest and fairest set of reforms to secure the border we’ve ever had in our country,” he said in the statement Friday. “It would give me, as President, a new emergency authority to shut down the border when it becomes overwhelmed. And if given that authority, I would use it the day I sign the bill into law.”

Under the soon-to-be-released package, the Department of Homeland Security would be granted new emergency authority to shut down the border if daily average migrant encounters reach 4,000 over a one-week span. If migrant crossings increase above 5,000 on average per day on a given week, DHS would be required to close the border to migrants crossing illegally not entering at ports of entry. Certain migrants would be allowed to stay if they prove to be fleeing torture or persecution in their countries.

Moreover, if crossings exceed 8,500 in a single day, DHS would be required to close the border to migrants illegally crossing the border (They already are!). Under the proposal, any migrant who tries to cross the border twice while it is closed would be banned from entering the US for one year. (Oooooh - scary!)

The goal of the trio of negotiators – GOP Sen. James Lankford of Oklahoma, Independent Sen. Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona and Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut – is to prevent surges that overwhelm federal authorities. (Because they can't easily process them if they "surge") The Biden administration and Senate leaders have been heavily involved in the talks, and more details of the deal are expected to be released in the coming days. -- excerpt, rest at link above --

Secession is a political question, not a legal one. The entire premise of the existence of the United States is the concept that governments are only legitimate when operating with the consent of the governed. Consent and legitimacy are core principles of democratic governance. See the Declaration of Independence.

Up until the Civil War, the question of secession was acknowledged by the Founding generation and the second generation of Americans as entirely possible and legal (even if frowned upon), and there exists substantial documentary evidence of this. Even in his Farewell Address, Washington recognized secession as entirely possible, without question; the only question was whether secession was preferable or advisable. There were several threats of secession leading up to the Civil War. In fact, northern Abolitionists were some of the loudest proponents of secession in the antebellum period; they wanted the north to secede from the south so that they no longer had to live in a nation with slavery.

And then along came Abraham Lincoln, who believed that it was his duty from God to hold the union together by any means necessary. He cited no evidence or statutory legal argument that secession was illegal; he simply didn't want the southern states to secede and reacted with extraordinary violence to a political action that he did not like. Even James Buchanan, the president immediately preceding Lincoln, is on record as saying that there was no Constitutional mechanism to keep states in the union should they choose to secede.

And there still is no formal Constitutional mechanism to prevent states from seceding.

The Supreme Court decision (Texas v. White) is highly dubious for a number of different reasons. It was essentially an ex post facto stamp of approval by Lincoln appointees for all of the actions Lincoln had taken during the Civil War. Ironically, the author of the Majority opinion, Justice Chase, is quoted as saying the following in relation to Jefferson Davis and other confederate leaders: "If you bring these [confederate] leaders to trial, it will condemn the North, for by the Constitution, secession is not rebellion. His [Jefferson Davis] capture was a mistake. His trial will be a greater one. We cannot convict him of treason." The court could point to nothing in the actual body of the Constitution in support of their ruling; the convoluted argument relied exclusively on the preamble to the Constitution with the phrase "A more perfect union," which itself was a reference back to the Articles of Confederation, with its phrase: "a perpetual union." Chase and the majority used this phrase to assert that the founders never intended for states to leave the union and that they essentially "committed suicide" by ratifying the Constitution and joining the union. But a review of the ratifying convention documentation from the various states' ratification committees and the Federalist & Anti-Federalist papers prove this claim to be entirely spurious.

He also claimed that the US was an "indestructible union composed of indestructible states." But that argument is ridiculous because states are not indestructible - several states exist because they seceded from their parent states. Delaware seceded from Vermont. West Virginia seceded from Virginia. Maine seceded from Massachusetts.

"Perpetual" meant that the Union had no end date; it would continue in perpetuity, but states could join and leave as they wished because states were sovereign entities which voluntarily delegated certain powers to the central government, but it was understood that delegated powers can be revoked and reclaimed by the sovereign states. States did not surrender their sovereignty by joining the union; such a concept would have been preposterous.

If the founders had intended for states to be obliterated by joining the union, then why keep the states at all? Why not just amalgamate the territory into a unindividualized nation?

Texas' situation is even more unique than that of other states because we voluntarily joined the Union as an independent Republic. And in the Texas Constitution, which the Federal Government accepted when statehood was granted to Texas, our right to reassert our sovereignty and "alter, abolish, or reform" our government as we may think expedient is guaranteed (Article 1, Section 2). If states are unable to leave the union, then would that kind of language been approved by the federal government? And Texas isn't the only state with reclamation of sovereignty language in its constitution. Even New York in its ratification agreement asserted the right to reclaim its sovereignty!

The Lincolnian view of an all-powerful, essentially unlimited central government is aberrant to the Constitution as it was written and intended by the Founders. The Constitution essentially says that the Central (Federal) government has no powers except those granted to it by the states via the Constitution; the states, however, have unlimited power excepting those powers granted to the central government.

The Civil War established nothing except that the Constitution can be disregarded and that the federal government can be brutal and bloodthirsty. The Confederacy lost the war and the states were conquered and re-subjugated by the Federal Government. Lincoln then initiated a massive propaganda campaign intended to supplant Americans' identity with their respective states with a primary identity as Americans.

Notice that there were no actual laws or Constitutional amendments passed after the Civil War that declared secession to be illegal. You would think that that would have happened if it were indeed the case. And a foundational principle of American jurisprudence is nullum crimen sine lege, which means that if there is no law, then there can be no punishment. You cannot be convicted or punished for a crime that does not already exist in law. Furthermore, only individuals can be convicted of crimes; geographic or geopolitical regions, or political bodies of people (i.e. state citizens) cannot. You could not, for instance, charge California for possession of a controlled substance. You couldn't charge New York of burglary. Bodies of people and regions cannot commit crimes.

And why isn't secession illegal? Because it's inconceivable within the context of a nation founded by an act of secession, and on the principles detailed in the Declaration of Independence. Secession is a political act of the people. It is the declaration of revocation of consent to be governed by the entity in question. By revoking the consent of governance, any laws of that government can no longer be applied to the seceding entity; they are irrelevant.

Delaware did NOT secede from Vermont.

Vermont, in fact, broke away from Quebec, New York, and New Hampsire and formed the Republic of Vermont.

Delaware seceded from Pennsylvania.
