Bill de Blasio Taking Heat Over ‘Selective Enforcement of Social-Distancing Regulations’

New York City Mayor Comrade Bill de Blasio is taking fire from liberal groups bringing serious concerns in regards to the selective enforcement of social-distancing rules.

Within the wake of a tweet by which de Blasio singled out Jewish New Yorkers, warning them to adhere to the rules, two liberal groups on Monday demanded that the mayor tell his police to stop enforcing the regulations.

Data compiled by the NYPD show that although de Blasio has admonished Jews for their failure to comply with the rules, there isn’t any indication the Jewish community violated the social distancing rules at a larger rate than any other New Yorker groups. Minority groups, both black and Hispanic, were handed the overwhelming majority of summonses by police for violating social-distancing rules, which criminal justice reform advocates say is proof that they’re being selectively targeted by law enforcement. Or, maybe those groups of people were really violating the rules more than the Jewish community? Do progressives ever consider such questions?
