Did Eric Holder’s ‘threat’ to John Durham amount to obstruction of justice? National Sentinel, Dec 12. 2019
Former Attorney General Eric Holder, who ran the Justice Department like it was a division of the Democrat Party instead of the nation’s premier law enforcement agency, penned an op-ed in the Washington Post Wednesday that could certainly be seen as a threat to U.S. Attorney John Durham.
Holder, who was held in contempt of Congress for refusing to honor lawful subpoenas for information about the “Fast and Furious” gun-running scandal but was let off the hook by a federal judge Obama appointed, claimed that current AG William Holder is “unfit” to hold his office because he deigned to disagree with some of DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s conclusions in his just-released report on the FBI’s FISA abuses.
Namely, that Horowitz found ‘no political bias’ in the FBI’s pursuit of surveillance warrants against a member of the 2016 Trump campaign.
Of course, there was bias. We’ve all read the texts between fired FBI agent Peter Strzok and former FBI lawyer Lisa Page, both of whom were neck-deep in Spygate.
Nevertheless, Holder also made was sure seems like a thinly-veiled threat against Durham, and frankly, it’s chilling.
