QuoteThe U.S. economy grew more quickly than expected in the three months through September, according to new figures published by the Commerce Department on Wednesday.
Gross domestic product increased at a 2.1 percent annualized rate, the government said in its second reading of third-quarter GDP. That was higher than its original estimate of 1.9 percent last month; analysts surveyed by Refinitiv also expected the measure to remain unrevised from the preliminary reading.
The upward revision was largely the result of stronger inventory and business investment....
Something that I have casually noticed... back during the 8 years of the prior administration, almost every quarter the 2 subsequent GDP prints were revised downward each time.... in this administration it seems the opposite occurs.... same on the employment figures each month.... past 8 years of the prior administration, monthly job figures revised downward..... again the opposite now, monthly figures almost always revised upward....
It is almost like they want to garner attention with the least favorable headlines possible, and quietly correct them over time..... with little fanfare..... funny that......
