The Unfrozen Cave is a place for thoughtful, intelligent, well-informed discussion on significant topics and issues of the day.

It is the forum home for those Americans that are capable of making a very realistic assessment of the world that we are currently dealing with. In that light, we support the administration of President Donald J. Trump, and support his re-election in 2020.

We only mention this upfront so that prospective Members understand that even if you do not completely support every action of the current administration, and even find aspects of President Trump to be less than appealing at times, you are able to further understand that there are no realistic “better” alternatives available at the present time.

We are all free to provide constructive criticism of both the man and his administration, but we draw the line at advocacy for his impeachment, or against his re-election. Many of us have adopted the moniker of being a "Trump Realist."

Now that that is out of the way, we believe that Members of the Unfrozen Cave will come from many walks of life, with a wide variety of personal and political backstories. You will be welcome here at the Unfrozen Cave if you:

1. Never voted in a national election before, but have developed an interest in the upcoming 2020 election.
2. Have voted in the past, perhaps for Democrats, perhaps Republicans or third parties, but did so without a lot of thought and consideration, and now you want to become more certain of your voting decisions.
3. Consider yourself to be a “political neophyte” but have developed a hunger to understand more about politics and government.
4. Have long demonstrated bonafides in understanding First Principles, the Constitution of the United States, the structure and proper function of the national (federal) government of the United States, political realities, and the essence of “conservatism” as a life philosophy, amongst other topics.


None of us here at the Unfrozen Cave are experts (or all knowing) in any of the topics that we discuss, however it is expected that you are both eager to learn, and willing to teach (implying your willingness to research Facts and bring them to the discussions).

While we expect that our most useful discussion threads will be of a serious nature in which all participants can expect to both learn and teach, well timed and placed humor is certainly not discouraged. In fact, all are welcome to relax at any time of your choosing and enjoy our “Fun and Potpourri” threads.

This forum will never be populated by trolls of any persuasion, and it won’t be the place to argue your points against voices that are not "Trump supporting." (There are ample other places for that!). One of our key Member Guidelines focuses the content of serious discussions on Facts and Ideas. While we all have many Opinions on many topics, we have found that when discussion threads are too heavily populated with Opinions alone, without accompanying Facts and Ideas, the broad usefulness of the discussion tends to suffer.

If this forum proves to be successful at all, over time, it will be because the membership has found lasting value from participating in the discussions!
